Mangoes are back, local market is flooded with these golden yellow toned fruits. The fragrance of a ripe mango will surely take your breath . And who doesn’t love this fruit !! It’s a blessing from Nature  ,rich in minerals, vitamins these are excellent source of antioxidants too.

Aam-ras is nothing but the puree of these Mangoes flavored with cardamom ,dry-ginger (sunthi) etc

This is very popular in western Indian states of Maharashtra ,Gujrat & Rajasthan.

  1. Peel Mangoes and remove the stone.Chopped them and grind them to make a smooth pulp.Mix cardamom and dry ginger powder to pulp. Taste the pulp ,if you want more sweetness in that then add sugar to it else don't.
  2. Refrigerate for 45 min and serve cold.Best goes with poori. (Indian fried bread)
Recipe Notes

Note: In Gujrati recipe dry ginger powder is added which helps in digestion in other hand. While in Maharashtra cardamom powder is only added.

I added both which tastes good too. So it's totally your choice which flavor you want.

To make it little thin milk can be added to the pulp.
