As a tourist in the city of Joy “Kolkata” ,how could i have missed going to Ghats. The best part of my solo trip was that evening boat ride on the river Ganga. The boat journey with 20 passenger from Belur Ghat to Dakhineshwar temple ghat in a span of 20 minute was splendid.
Recently i was in Chennai for few days , and Mahabalipuram was always in my list before. Sunday morning took a cab , a 60km drive from T.Nagar Chennai . This place is also called Mamallapuram, named after the great wrestler Mamalla, the title of Pallava king Narasimha Varman. You need 4-5 hour to visit all places in Mahabalipuram. It was very disappointing to hear from the shop owner that paragliding had been stopped for some days as a lady died while doing it in Manali. Oh Gosh! we were totally clueless what to do next. But still Dev had a hope…
Time to say Good-Bye to that Beautiful Village Garli, surrounded by looming mountains with a promise in heart to come again. Adventure bug has already bite us and we started our new journey towards Bir , India’s best place for para-gliding. Serene roads among the mountains made our ride even more enjoyable.we were not really strait-jacketed by schedule. We stopped at Jwala Mukhi Temple, one among the 52 Shakti Peethas. Sati’s tongue is believed to have fallen at Jwalamukhi and the goddess is manifest as tiny flames that burn a flawless blue through fissures in the age old rock.It is said…
